Their Show on the Road
Santi,
famous for exquisite food and wine pairing dinners, has found its
perfect complement in Craig Strattman, their new Manager of Fine
Catering. With a vision of presenting first-class events in a wide
variety of local venues, Strattman plans to translate Santi’s
award-winning meals to a larger scale, providing the same high
quality to a lot more people.
'We get so many requests for off-site banquets and wedding
dinners, and we Really want to do them. They’re lots of fun and
they really give us an opportunity to shine. But there was just no
way we could take on all that goes into them and keep the
restaurant running smoothly," says co-chef/co-owner Thomas Oden.
‘We heard about Craig and his great reputation and his wide
experience in the hospitality industry. The fact that he lives
across the street from the restaurant was just parsley on the
gnocchi."
Partner Franco Dunn says, ‘We realized that Craig shared our
vision of the Italian country taverna, where the dishes were
created from fresh seasonal ingredients and locally-raised
products, and where social gatherings are about honoring guests
with the very best on offer. His organizational skills, creative
menu design, and strong work ethic make us confident that our new
fine catering department will be a big success."
Streetman’s experience ranges from freelance chef in many Sonoma
County wineries, to catering for major corporations and
government embassies, tohis latest position as hospitality
director and executive chef at Chalk Hill Estate Winery &
Vineyards. His experience in large event production combined with
his fine dining background make him an invaluable addition to the
Santi team.
Santi, 21047 Geyserville Ave., Geyserville, is open for dinner
Tuesday through Friday, 5:30-9:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday
5:00-9:00 pm and for lunch Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30
