TRITEL STUDIO’S NEW GALLERY & SCULPTURE GARDEN

Jeff Tritel has been a professional sculptor for most of his adult like.  His sculpture is collected and shown worldwide.  Now he has created a very special environment for collectors and visitors to view his bronze sculpture on his 10 acres in Grass Valley.

Jeff Tritel had a dream to create a sculpture garden surrounding his 4,000 square foot studio.  He wanted to create waterfalls, streams, ponds, walkways and beautiful foliage to enhance the sculpture in his garden.  He wanted to create a gallery where visitors could experience his sculpture in an optimum setting.  This dream has come true.  Tritel Studios now includes a sculpture garden and a “New York” style gallery.

Visiting Tritel’s studio has always been a delightful experience.  The first thing that strikes a new visitor is the surprise of finding sophisticated art nestled in the foothills.  Unlike many accomplished sculptors, Jeff Tritel does not try to create what he calls “a photographic representation” of real objects.  Instead, he strives to capture something much more ephemeral:  the essence of the subject at hand.

“Rather than sculpting the musician,” he explains, “I sculpt the music.  I don’t sculpt the unicorn - I sculpt the magic.”

Tritel’s figurative sculpture ranges in size from several inches to over 30 feet in height and his subject matter is just as broad.  Visitors will see fairies, mermaids and dragons along side large psychology inspired sculptures.  And, the artist is right there to explain everything from the original inspiration to the final finishing.

Part of Tritel’s success lies in his unconventional relationship with people who purchase his sculptures.  “When someone buys a sculpture,” he says with a smile, “we always say, ‘welcome to the family.’” Indeed, Tritel enjoys the ongoing relationships with his clients.  The feeling is, evidently, mutual because more than 80 percent of Tritel’s collectors own more than one piece of his work.

The Tritel Studios garden, gallery and studio are open on weekends and during the week by appointment.  Please call 800/882-8098 for directions and further information.  Mention this article for a 15% new collector discount. www.tritelstudios.com
