Harbor Lite Lodge

The Harbor Lite Lodge is a Fort Bragg tradition. Built in 1973, family owned an operated, it provides accommodations ranging from economy to four-star inn quality. The original buildings, situated on the north east bluff, overlooking the Noyo Harbor, are standard motel rooms continuously maintained and updated to provide a clean, simple room that gives something few other motels can offer: private spacious balconies.

A new building offers nine four-star inn-style rooms with gas or wood burning stoves. The rooms have separate tile bathrooms and vanity areas, extra large private balconies all with views of Noyo Harbor, and upholstered deck furniture for lounging. Many guests, whatever the weather, comment that their favorite thing to do at the Harbor Lite Lodge is simply to relax on the balconies and watch the boats travel in and out of the harbor.

A continental breakfast is featured with fresh Belgian waffles, fresh blueberry muffins, and homemade granola using a recipe from the original owner and operator, Gladys Johnson

The staff focuses on providing detailed and personal service to our guests. The grounds are well maintained and in the summer of 2008 there will be a picnic area overlooking the Noyo Harbor which will be available to all guests during the afternoon and early evening. Picnic tables and barbeque stands add options for guests to provide their own culinary experience while visiting Fort Bragg.

Quilting, scrapbooking, local and regional service organizations rent one or all of our three conference rooms on the property. We provide two downstairs rooms and a large upstairs room with the use of a kitchen if necessary. Room credits are provided to groups for use of the meeting room making the fee for using the meeting room negligible. The upstairs meeting room has a full wall of sliding glass doors and vaulted ceilings providing an open, picturesque setting. It is a great place to hold any type of event for as many as 85 people.

The least known of our amenities at the lodge is our private Finnish sauna. The dressing area is 100% redwood paneled with a shower. The hot rock sauna can be dry or steam depending on your preference. It was a necessity of the original Finnish owners to have a sauna and it is a popular request of those in the know today.

The Lodge has had only five managers in its 35 years and three of those five are Grandmother, Mother, and Son. Through that time our focus has remained the same and we invite you to experience a quality lodging experience that provides the best of both lodging worlds available on the Mendocino Coast.

Located at 120 North Harbor Drive, Ft. Bragg, CA 95437. Please call 800.643.2700 or visit www.harborlitelodge.com for more information.
