The first inhabitants of the Anderson Valley were the nomadic Pomo Indians who made their encampments throughout the area, hunting and fishing in the abundant forests, streams and watersheds of the Navarro River. There are still remnants of an Indian village preserved within the confines of vineyard land and a few locals have worked hard to make sure that this sacred ground still lies undisturbed. full article

Napa Valley winemaker Miljenko "Mike" Grgich was inducted into the Vintner Hall of Fame in 2008 in honor of his many contributions to the wine industry. The tribute came at the same time that Mike was celebrating his 50th vintage of making wine in the Napa Valley. full article
